Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is one of the treatments for infertility and an option for couples who are having difficulty with getting pregnant on their own. This procedure may be a good choice for couples if the wife’s fallopian tubes are patent (no blockage) and the husband’s sperm count is adequate or  fairly adequate.

With Intrauterine Insemination sperm is first processed using sperm preparation media and then the prepared sperm  is inserted directly into a woman’s womb through a catheter meant for it to increase the chance of fertilization.This procedure allows a woman to get pregnant without sexual intercourse and it can be conducted with the intending father’s sperm or donor sperm
